NEC to approve Rs1.41trillion national development outlay for next fiscal year

ISLAMABAD: The National Economic Council (NEC) is set to give approval for Rs1.41 trillion National Development outlay for the next fiscal year. 

According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair the NEC meeting on Wednesday in which the forum will approve the next year’s economic targets. 

The NEC will give the approval of Rs630 billion for federal Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) and of Rs783bn for the provincial development outlay. 

The Gross Domestic Product  (GDP) target for next year is set at 2.1 percent whereas target inflation is 6.5 percent. 

Target for the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is expected to be Rs4.9 trillion which includes indirect tax target of Rs3332 billion.

  2. The government haven’t capacity to control fair audit of PSDP projects. However, it is time consuming process to expend all funds for on going projects.
