ISLAMABAD: TheĀ Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday, reshuffled key members of Inland Revenue Service (IRS).
The reallocated members include members of the administration, policy, Facilitation and Taxpayer Education (FATE), Human Resource Management (HRM), Reforms and Modernisation and Strategic Planning Reforms and Statistics (SPR&S) wings.
According to notification issued by the FBR, administration wing member Dr Faiz Illahi Memon has been transferred and posted as director general special initiative in Karachi. Similarly, Bakhtiar Muhammad has been transferred from his previous assignment at FATE and posted as new member of the administration wing.
Moreover, Hafiz Muhammad Ali Indhar BPS-22 officer of IRS was transferred from SPR&S wing to the HRM wing. Similarly, Dr Hamid Ateeq Sarwar was posted as member SPR&S wing, while Muhammad Tarique was posted as member policy wing.Ā
The notification further added that Dr Lubna Ayub has been posted as chief commissioner Regional Tax Office (RTO) Quetta from her previous posting at FBR Headquarters while Ambreen Iftikhar has been posted as member reforms and modernisation wing from her previous posting as member HRM wing.
According to sources Dr Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed, who is currently serving as member IR operations in Islamabad is behind this reshuffle in FBR. They further alleged that Dr Ashfaq Ahmedās favorites have been appointed on key posts in the FBR.
