Govt reopens application receiving process for KJP loans

ISLAMABAD: The government has reopened the application receiving process for Kamyab Jawan Programme (KJP), under which applicants will be provided loans under soft and easy conditions.

The provision of subsidised business loans is aimed at the uplift of youth by offering them opportunities to utilise their entrepreneurial potential to the fullest.

Under the Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Programme, the government has allocated Rs100 billion to give loans to youth having the requisite business plans and skills.

As per Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar, the scheme has huge potential to not only enhance business activities in the country but also to create employment opportunities. “Under the scheme, a 25pc share of the loans has been reserved for women entrepreneurs.”

Back in August, the government announced to enhance the scope of the Kamyab Jawan Programme by increasing the maximum limit of loan from Rs5 million to Rs25 million.
