PSM employees block railways in Karachi, demand reinstatement

Sacked employees of the Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) present in large numbers blocked the main railway track near Bin Qasim on Tuesday, suspending railway traffic for hours.

The sacked employees demanded the federal government to take back.

The sit-in also forced trains including the Karachi Express and Sir Syed Express to wait at the stations for clearance.

It may be mentioned here that 4,544 PSM employees, including teachers, drivers, firemen, operators, health and security staffers, SEDGMs, managers and others have been sacked by the federal government.
