Rupee remained steady against USD

The rupee remained steady against the USD in the inter-bank market on Friday as investors await an announcement from the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC).

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) MPC meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 20 in which the policy rate for the next two months will be announced.

Previously in this week, the rupee had reached a record low against the dollar however the rupee regained some of its value against the greenback and closed at Rs168.19 with a slight dip of 0.01 per cent compared to a close of Rs168.18 on Thursday.
