The United States remained the top export destination for Pakistani products during the first eight months of the fiscal year 2024-25, followed by China and the United Kingdom, according to data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Total exports to the US from July to February 2024-25 amounted to $4.009 billion, up from $3.629 billion in the same period last year, marking an increase of 10.49%.
China was the second-largest export market, with Pakistani exports totaling $1.695 billion, down 10.54% from $1.895 billion in the previous year.
The UK ranked third, with exports reaching $1.444 billion, compared to $1.352 billion last year.
Exports to the UAE stood at $1.414 billion, up from $1.336 billion, while shipments to Germany increased to $1.133 billion from $984.6 million.
Exports to the Netherlands totaled $1.001 billion, compared to $908.3 million last year, while exports to Italy stood at $747 million against $733.6 million.
Spain received Pakistani exports worth $973.5 million, slightly up from $965.1 million, and exports to Afghanistan rose significantly to $592.8 million from $321.7 million. Exports to Bangladesh reached $525.1 million, up from $415.1 million.
Shipments to France totaled $372.5 million, compared to $337.5 million, while exports to Belgium stood at $384 million, up from $364.6 million.
Pakistan’s exports to Saudi Arabia were recorded at $489.4 million, compared to $442.5 million last year. However, exports to Turkiye declined to $194.3 million from $233 million in the same period.
