Pakistan to host first Digital Foreign Direct Investment Forum on April 29-30

Over 200 leading international IT firms are expected to attend, aiming to attract investors and policymakers from more than 30 countries

Pakistan will host the first-ever Digital Foreign Direct Investment (DFDI) Forum on April 29-30, 2025, marking a significant step in positioning the country at the forefront of the global digital economy. 

The event, organised by the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication in collaboration with the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), will bring delegates from more than 30 countries. 

Over 200 leading IT and telecom companies and more than 50 startups, investors, policymakers, and innovation leaders are expected to participate.

A highlight of the event is the high-profile UK delegation, led by Dr. Samina Zehra, the Economic Minister at Pakistan’s High Commission in London. The delegation includes influential figures in cutting-edge sectors such as AI, quantum technologies, cloud computing, and digital infrastructure. 

Notable attendees include Steve Suarez, Alina Timofeeva, Asim Khwaja, and Shahzad Manzoor Khan. Discussions are also ongoing regarding a potential $100 million investment pipeline for Pakistan’s tech sector.
