Pakistan’s steel exporter launches subsidiary in Europe to expand global footprint

International Industries Ltd’s new venture in Ireland to open markets for steel and polymer pipes, promoting Pakistan’s brand in Europe

International Industries Limited (IIL), a leader in the production and export of steel and polymer pipes in Pakistan, has taken a significant step in its global expansion by launching its fully owned subsidiary, INIL Europe Limited, in Ireland.

According to a filing by the company on Wednesday, this move is part of IIL’s strategic growth plans to increase its global presence and explore new markets for its products in the European Union and beyond.

IIL, which has been recognised with the FPCCI’s export awards for 24 consecutive years, has already achieved over USD 150 million in exports, selling its products in more than 60 countries worldwide, including major markets in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Over the years, IIL has also contributed over PKR 6.4 billion in duties and taxes to Pakistan’s national exchequer.

The company’s new subsidiary in Ireland, INIL Europe Limited, is poised to play a pivotal role in promoting IIL’s products across Europe. It aims to open new markets for steel and polymer pipes while enhancing the “Pakistan” brand’s reputation in the region.

By introducing IIL products to EU countries, the venture is also expected to contribute to earning foreign exchange and driving economic growth for both IIL and Pakistan.

IIL has already established other subsidiaries, including IIL Australia Pty Ltd. in Australia and IIL Americas Inc. in Canada, as part of its global expansion strategy. The launch of INIL Europe aligns with the company’s commitment to sustainability and growth, exploring new revenue streams while supporting the overall economic development of the country.
