Collectorate reports 537.58% increase in revenue realisation during FY26; auction proceeds from confiscated goods reach Rs1.954 billion

Customs Enforcement Peshawar raises Rs2.9 billion from confiscated gold, silver and foreign currency in FY2025-26

Pakistan Customs Enforcement, Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Peshawar, realised Rs2.902 billion during the financial year 2025-26 through the disposal of confiscated gold, silver and foreign currency, the Federal Board of Revenue said. 

The amount represents a 537.58% increase over the combined performance of the previous two financial years, according to the statement.

Revenue from confiscated gold stood at Rs2.332 billion during FY26, compared with Rs139.391 million in FY25 and Rs81.689 million in FY24. This reflected a 955.01% increase.

The Collectorate also generated Rs89.13 million through the disposal of confiscated silver during FY26.

Revenue from confiscated foreign currency rose to Rs479.975 million, compared with Rs234 million in the preceding financial year, showing an increase of 105.12%.

Separately, revenue realised through public auction of confiscated goods also increased during the year. The Collectorate generated Rs1.954 billion through auctions in FY26, compared with Rs714.44 million in FY25 and Rs418.28 million in FY24, recording a 72.51% increase over the previous years.

The Federal Board of Revenue said the results reflected stronger enforcement measures, anti-smuggling operations and disposal of confiscated goods in accordance with the law.

It said the board would continue strengthening enforcement mechanisms, combating smuggling and improving revenue realisation through customs operations.
