Pakistan Customs posts record Rs158 billion monthly collection in June
Total taxes on imports rise 33% to Rs467 billion in June; annual import tax collection reaches Rs4.692 trillion in FY2025-26

Pakistan Customs recorded its highest-ever monthly revenue collection in June 2026, collecting Rs158 billion in Customs Duty against a monthly target of Rs144 billion, exceeding the target by 10%.
According to performance figures released by Pakistan Customs, total taxes on imports reached Rs467 billion in June 2026, showing a 33% increase compared with Rs350.3 billion collected in the same month last year.
Customs Duty collection for the month stood at Rs158 billion, up 24% from Rs127 billion recorded in June 2025.
For the full fiscal year 2025-26, Pakistan Customs collected Rs4.692 trillion in total taxes on imports, compared with Rs4.131 trillion in the previous year, reflecting an increase of 13.6%.
Annual Customs Duty collection stood at Rs1.331 trillion, showing a 4% year-on-year increase and meeting 99% of the annual target.
The Petroleum Development Levy (PDL) on imports rose to Rs752 billion during FY2025-26, compared with Rs628 billion last year, marking a 20% increase.
Syed Shakeel Shah, Member Customs Operations at Pakistan Customs, said the performance reflected efficiency, transparency and digital transformation initiatives undertaken by the department.
“This outstanding performance is a testament to the efficiency, transparency, and digital transformation initiatives undertaken by Pakistan Customs. Surpassing the monthly target by a significant margin reflects our commitment to facilitating trade while ensuring optimal revenue collection for the national exchequer,” he said.
Pakistan Customs said the June performance marked a significant achievement in monthly revenue mobilisation, supported by higher import-related tax collection and improved Customs Duty receipts.
