Punjab Revenue Authority collects record Rs368bn in FY26
Tax collection rises 36% from Rs270bn to Rs368bn; PRA adds 26,700 taxpayers, collects Rs361bn under Punjab Sales Tax on Services

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) collected more than Rs368 billion in taxes during FY2025-26, exceeding its revenue target and recording the highest annual collection since its establishment.
PRA Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra said tax collection increased by Rs98 billion compared with the previous fiscal year.
The authority collected Rs270 billion in FY2024-25, while collection rose to over Rs368 billion in FY2025-26, showing growth of 36%.
The PRA also collected more than Rs48.5 billion in June alone.
According to the chairman, collection under Punjab Sales Tax on Services stood at Rs361 billion during the fiscal year.
The authority expanded its tax base by 18%, with the addition of 26,700 new taxpayers.
Sipra said the performance was achieved despite challenges, including regional tensions and reduced business hours.
He credited the increase to the support of the Punjab government, the leadership of the Chief Minister and the confidence of taxpayers.
The provincial government has set a revenue target of Rs528 billion for PRA for FY2026-27.
The chairman said the authority would continue efforts to broaden the tax base, promote voluntary compliance and accelerate digital reforms across Punjab.
