Pakistan’s mobile subscriber base tops 200 million by end of 2025, PTA data shows
Total connections rise to 200.55m as NGMS users increase and teledensity climbs

Pakistan’s total cellular subscriber base grew to 200.55 million by the end of December 2025, up from 196.584 million at the end of November, according to official statistics released by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
The latest data also showed an increase in of 3G and 4G subscribers which rose from 148.197 million in November to 150.588 million in December, adding over 2.39 million users in one month. The next generation mobile service (NGMS) penetration rate moved up from 59.46 percent to 60.32 percent during the same period, reflecting broader adoption of mobile broadband services.
Teledensity, which represents the number of mobile connections per 100 people, increased from 79 percent in Novemberto 80 percent in December. On a more detailed measure, overall teledensity climbed from 79.94 percent to 81.33 percent, the PTA figures show.
Among individual operators, Jazz’s 4G user count rose from 55 million to 55.52 million by the end of December. Zong’s 4G subscriptions increased from 41.560 million to 42.35 million, though its 3G users fell slightly. Telenor Pakistan’s 4G subscriber base expanded from 26.92 million to 27.42 million, with a drop in its 3G users. Ufone’s 4G user count rose from 19.082 million to 19.708 million, while its 3G subscribers declined in the same period.
The PTA data indicates continued growth in mobile network usage across the country as consumers increasingly shift toward 4G services and next generation mobile connectivity.
