The Pakistani rupee recorded a slight appreciation against the US dollar in the interbank market on Tuesday, closing at PKR 279.67 per dollar, compared to PKR 279.70 in the previous session, as per figures released by the State Bank of Pakistan.
The day-on-day movement translates into a marginal 0.01% appreciation, indicating minimal change in the exchange rate and continued stability in the interbank market. The State Bank noted that the rupee is considered to have appreciated when fewer rupees are required to purchase one US dollar.
