Gas supply from SNGPL reinstated after suspension earlier this month

Agritech Limited has announced the resumption of operations at its urea plant after gas supply was restored by Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).
In a disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Friday, the company said RLNG supply to its fertiliser plant had been reinstated, allowing production activities to restart.
The company stated that with the restoration of gas supply by SNGPL, operations at the urea plant will resume accordingly.
Earlier this month, Agritech had halted operations at the facility following a disruption in RLNG supplies.
On March 4, the company informed the PSX that it had suspended operations at its urea plant after SNGPL notified it of a potential force majeure situation declared by an LNG supplier amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
According to the earlier disclosure, the conflict had disrupted LNG production facilities and affected supply, leading to the suspension of RLNG deliveries to the fertiliser plant.
As a result, gas supply to Agritech’s plant was halted on March 4, forcing the company to suspend urea production until further notice.
The company had said at the time that the disruption was beyond its control and followed formal communication from SNGPL regarding the suspension of gas supplies.
