Zuma signs global telecom deal with Telna, eyes eSIM rollout, Mobile Virtual Network Operator licence from PTA

Zuma Resources Limited has entered into a global connectivity agreement with Telna North America Inc., giving it access to international telecom infrastructure and enabling the launch of global mobile services, according to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday.

Under the agreement, Telna will provide Zuma access to its multi-IMSI global connectivity infrastructure, allowing the company to offer eSIM connectivity, mobile data services, voice and SMS services, and international roaming across multiple networks.

The agreement grants Zuma commercial rights to establish and launch its own global telecom brand, utilize Telna’s infrastructure to deliver services to users worldwide, and operate as a reseller and service provider across multiple jurisdictions.

The company will also be able to integrate third-party partners and service providers into its platform while retaining full commercial flexibility, including the option to adopt a multi-supplier operating model.

Zuma said it intends to leverage the agreement to develop, own and operate a proprietary global telecom platform and brand, supported by Telna’s infrastructure and network integrations.

The company described the agreement as a key step in its transition into a technology and telecom-focused platform. It said the partnership is expected to facilitate entry into the global digital connectivity and eSIM market, support the development of scalable and recurring revenue streams, strengthen its position in international telecom and digital infrastructure sectors, and enable expansion into markets including Europe, the United Kingdom and other regions.

The agreement has an initial term of three years, subject to renewal. Revenue will be generated through the resale of telecom services and usage-based billing mechanisms, with a scalable commercial structure aligned with subscriber growth and traffic volumes. The platform is designed to support large-scale global deployment of telecom services.

Looking ahead, Zuma said it will continue to evaluate strategic initiatives to expand its telecom footprint, enhance service offerings and build long-term shareholder value through global partnerships.

The company is also assessing the feasibility of applying for a Mobile Virtual Network Operator licence from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), subject to regulatory approvals and legal requirements. It noted that there is no assurance that such approval will be obtained, and any developments will be disclosed in accordance with applicable regulations.
