Pakistan’s textile exports rise 1.29% to $15 billion in first 10 months of FY26
Readymade garments, cotton yarn and bedwear record growth, while cotton cloth and towel exports decline during July-April period

Pakistan’s textile exports increased 1.29% during the first 10 months of FY2025-26, reaching $15.025 billion compared to $14.834 billion in the corresponding period last year, according to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
The increase was mainly driven by higher exports of readymade garments, bedwear and cotton yarn during July-April FY26.
Exports of readymade garments rose 4.85% to $3.558 billion from $3.394 billion during the same period last year.
Bedwear exports increased 1.85% to $2.617 billion from $2.569 billion, while cotton yarn exports climbed 11.29% to $641 million from $576 million.
Exports of made-up articles excluding towels also recorded growth during the period.
According to the PBS data, knitwear exports rose marginally by 0.2% during the first 10 months of the fiscal year.
However, several textile categories recorded declines.
Cotton cloth exports fell 8.79% to $1.414 billion from $1.550 billion, while exports of cotton carded or combed declined sharply by 66.67% from $0.006 million to $0.001 million.
Exports of yarn other than cotton yarn declined 4.61% to $26 million from $27 million.
Towel exports decreased from $903 million to $809 million, while exports of tents, canvas and tarpaulin fell 4.65% to $103 million from $109 million.
Art, silk and synthetic textile exports also declined to $299 million from $330 million.
Meanwhile, exports of all other textile materials increased 8.06% to $660 million from $610 million during the July-April period.
On a year-on-year basis, textile exports declined 9.33% in April 2026 to $187.055 million compared to $206.296 million in April 2025.
On a month-on-month basis, textile exports fell 6.73% compared to March 2026 exports of around $200 million.
