Hub administration fixes Iranian petrol price at Rs250 per litre

The district administration in Hub, Balochistan, has fixed the price of Iranian petrol at Rs250 per litre across the district in an effort to control fuel prices and prevent profiteering.

According to officials, Deputy Commissioner Hub Jumma Dad Khan Mandokhail took notice of reports regarding what the administration described as unjustified increases in Iranian petrol prices by dealers and traders involved in the border fuel business.

Following the notice, the district administration announced strict action against overpricing, hoarding and profiteering.

The deputy commissioner said the government had permitted the trade of Iranian petrol to provide relief to consumers and warned that no individual or cartel would be allowed to exploit the public through artificial price increases.

Officials said the decision would apply across the district and monitoring measures would be implemented to ensure compliance.
