Punjab govt ends free travel facility on Orange Line Train, Metro and Speedo buses

The Punjab government has withdrawn the free travel facility on public transport services, including the Orange Line Train, Metro Bus and Speedo buses, in Lahore and other cities from Saturday.

According to Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA) sources, passengers will now be charged normal fares on these services.

The government had introduced the free travel facility as a temporary relief measure following an increase in petroleum prices.

Authorities said the relief was provided for a limited period and public transport services will now operate under the regular fare structure.
