PSX 13 recent listings deliver average 47% return

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) said 13 companies listed in recent years had generated an average return of 47%, with most of the stocks trading above their issue prices.

Zarea Limited recorded the highest post-listing gain at 179.5%, followed by Nets International Communication with a return of 154.1%.

Pakistan Credit Rating Agency ranked third with a gain of 112.6%, while Barkat Frisian Agro Limited and LSE Capital Limited delivered returns of 84.2% and 62.6%, respectively.

Pak-Gulf General Takaful, Signature Residency REIT, Wahdat Poultry Farms, Sitara Petroleum Service and Pak-Qatar Family Takaful were also trading above their issue prices, with gains ranging from 6.7% to 41.1%.

However, three companies remained below their respective issue prices.

JS Rental REIT had declined 2.3% since listing, while Image REIT and Ghani Drilling Limited had fallen 19.2% and 37.6%, respectively.

PSX said the performance of most newly listed companies reflected investor interest in recent offerings and positive post-listing returns. The listings cover sectors including technology, finance, agriculture, and real estate, adding companies from different industries to the equity market.

The exchange said the performance of recent offerings supported capital formation by connecting companies seeking funds with investors looking for exposure to listed businesses.
