Federal govt orders immediate wheat supply to KP through PASSCO

The federal government has directed the Ministry of National Food Security to arrange an immediate supply of wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through the Pakistan Agricultural Storage & Services Corporation Limited.
The decision was taken on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to maintain wheat availability in the province and protect consumers from inflation.
Minister for Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain said the ministry had issued instructions for the prompt and effective supply of wheat through PASSCO.
He said the measure was intended to limit the impact of rising prices on people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
