Thai motorcycle manufacturer GPX has entered the Pakistani market through Royal Power Group, launching five petrol-powered motorcycles across the 125cc to 250cc categories and two electric scooters.
The launch introduces a new competitor in Pakistan’s 125cc and 150cc motorcycle segments, which have traditionally been dominated by models from Honda and Suzuki, including the Honda CB150F, Suzuki GS150, Suzuki GR150 and Suzuki GSX125.
GPX has also introduced motorcycles in the 200cc and 250cc categories, targeting buyers seeking features such as electronic fuel injection, anti-lock braking systems, traction control, digital displays and liquid- or oil-cooled engines.
The introductory prices of the petrol models range from Rs325,000 for the GPX Libre 125 to Rs930,000 for the GPX Demon GR250R. Prices of the GPX O2 and O2 Max electric scooters will be announced later.
The company said bookings were expected to begin towards the end of July or in early August.
Models and introductory prices
According to PakWheel, the GPX Libre 125 has been introduced at Rs325,000, while the Libre 150 carries a price of Rs375,000.
The GPX Raptor Plus RZ200 has been priced at Rs540,000.
The GPX Demon GR200R will cost Rs790,000, while the higher-capacity Demon GR250R has been priced at Rs930,000.
The company has not yet announced prices for the GPX O2 and GPX O2 Max electric scooters.

Features
Depending on the model, the motorcycles offer electronic fuel injection, six-speed transmissions, dual disc brakes, anti-lock braking systems and traction control.
Other features include oil- or liquid-cooled engines, digital instrument displays, Bluetooth connectivity, screen mirroring and light-emitting diode headlights.
The Libre 150, priced at Rs375,000, is equipped with a 150cc engine, six-speed transmission, fuel injection and a digital instrument display.
The Raptor Plus RZ200 is a 200cc oil-cooled naked sports motorcycle carrying a price of Rs540,000. Its features include a six-speed transmission, anti-lock braking system and Bluetooth connectivity.
GPX is positioning these models against established Japanese motorcycles in Pakistan’s commuter and entry-level sports categories.
The company claims its models are priced around 30% to 40% below comparable offerings from Honda and Suzuki, depending on the model and category.
GPX was established in Thailand in 2007 and initially focused on importing and assembling all-terrain vehicles and off-road dirt motorcycles.
It entered the mainstream commuter motorcycle market in 2014 and subsequently expanded its presence in Thailand. The company recorded the highest number of pre-bookings at the Thailand Motor Expo in both 2015 and 2016.
GPX currently exports motorcycles to markets including Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Greece and Bangladesh. Pakistan has now been added to its export markets through Royal Power Group.
