Punjab offers 10% discount on motor vehicle token tax until August 31

The Punjab government has announced a 10% discount on Motor Vehicle Token Tax payments to encourage timely tax compliance. The concession will remain available until August 31, 2026.

Citizens have been advised to pay their Motor Vehicle Token Tax before the deadline to benefit from the discount and avoid late payment penalties.

According to a press release, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said the digital payment system developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board supports the government of Punjab’s digital governance agenda.

He said the system provides citizens with a secure, transparent and convenient mechanism for making government payments.

Faisal Yousaf said the initiative is aimed at making public services more accessible and efficient through digital technologies.

Citizens can pay their Motor Vehicle Token Tax through e-Pay Punjab.
