WAPDA chairman resigns

Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Chairman Zafar Mahmood has resigned from his post on personal grounds.

Sources said the WAPDA chief has resigned from his post on personal grounds. However he will keep performing the duty till the appointment of new chairman.

Talking about his resignation, Zafar Mahmood said “I have tendered my resignation due to personal grounds”, adding that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had provided him an opportunity to work as the WAPDA chairman.

Mahmood further said that the prime minister had continuously supported him during his tenure for which he was grateful to him.
