International Steel, Aisha Steel increase prices

 

After an imposition of Anti-Dumping duties on Steel sheets imported from China, Pakistan’s steel companies; International Steel (ISL) and Aisha Steel (ASL) have increased their steel prices by Rs 2000 per tonne with effect from February 14, 2017.

Out of 13 listed steel companies, eight companies gained at the screen of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) in which Aisha Steel was on top, whose trade volume remained above 40.87 million shares. It gained 10 paisas to Rs 27.31 from its previous closing of Rs 27.21 yesterday. Aisha’s shares opened at Rs 26.85.

The National Tariff Commission (NTC) has imposed definitive anti-dumping duty on Chinese imports of galvanised steel coils/sheets, to protect the local industry from products overcapacity.
