Find my Doctor receives Rs20 million funding to expand services

Lahore: A Karachi based health-care startup Find my Doctor has received funding of Rs20m which will assist in expanding its outreach and services, reported a local newspaper.

Find my Doctor provides a seamless way of finding hospitals, doctors, blood banks and getting ambulances through their iOS and Android app offerings. The app can also be used to book appointments with doctor’s line.

Over 1,800 doctors are listed in the app which was launched almost 2 years ago and are listed by experience, qualification, availability and their specialization.

The app features the ability to record a patient’s 10 years medical history, which can be utilized for diagnostic purposes and in prescribing medication by doctors.

In August, the company had also started a ‘Lab Test at Home’ service which allows blood samples to be collected from the comfort of your home, which requires you to first register on Find my Doctor’s website and then book the test you are interested in. Once the blood sample is collected, the results are sent via email.

Find my Doctor’s CEO Saad Siddiqui said that the company intends to launch its new services in five other cities which include Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sukkur and Hyderabad.
