PML-N ready to sign charter of economy with opposition parties: Miftah Ismail

 

 

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Economic Affairs Dr Miftah Ismail has said the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is much better as compared to past due to the PML-N government’s economic policies.

Talking to PTV, he said PML-N was ready to sign charter of economy with opposition parties like Charter of Democracy. He said GDP was 2.8 per cent in 2013 but it has been more than 5 per cent now due to prudent economic policies of the government.

Miftah Ismail said the economic reforms made by the government have resulted in increase of GDP. He said that measures were being taken to decrease current account deficit. He said the tax collection has improved in the country and Rs 1900 billion have been provided to the provinces.
