LPG distributors association announces country-wide shutter-down strike on December 9

ISLAMABAD: The Liquefied Petroleum Gas Distributors Association of Pakistan (LPGDAP) has announced to hold a shutter-down strike on December 9, 2017, in all parts of the country against various taxes on the import of LPG to the country, especially premium bonus, signature bonus, levy and regulatory duty.

Condemning the behaviour of police, civil defence and other government officials with LPG distributors, LPG Distributors Association Pakistan Chairman Irfan Khokhar on Tuesday said that it has been decided that a strike all over Pakistan, from Khyber to Karachi, will be conducted on December 9, 2017. He further told that LPG importers have stopped importing LPG due to which a shortage is being created and prices of this cheaper fuel (LPG) for poor people of hilly areas of the country are going up. And, if it does not change then LPG will be available at Rs 300 per kg and domestic cylinder at Rs 3500, Irfan Khokhar said in a statement issued to media on Tuesday.
