TDAP to organise single country exhibition in Colombo from Jan 12

ISLAMABAD: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), in collaboration with High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka, would organise ‘Pakistan Single Country Exhibition’ in Colombo in order to promote bilateral trade and commerce with Sri Lanka.

The three-day event would be held from January 12 to 14 as Pakistan has successfully organised such events in 2016 and 2017 to promote bilateral trade and economic relations between both of the countries, a press release said on Monday.

Sri Lankan President Mathripala Srisena would be the chief guest on the opening ceremony of the exhibition, which aims at providing a platform to the Pakistani companies for showcasing their range of products and services to Sri Lankan public and the business community.

The exhibition contributes to promoting Pakistan-Sri Lanka economic relations by diversifying the existing trade patterns, hence introducing a wide range of quality products in the Sri Lankan markets. The exhibition is featuring leading Pakistani organisations and manufacturers of engineering products, auto parts, agriculture products, textiles, clothing and designing.

The exhibition would also feature handicrafts, traditional textiles, cosmetics, herbal products, pharmaceuticals, cutlery, gems, jewellery and furniture, as well as carpets and marble services.

The high commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka for the first time during the exhibition is establishing a specially dedicated stall on spectacular Gandhara and Buddhist heritage of Pakistan, where the people would be able to witness the splendid legacy of Pakistan.

The DVDs and leaflets containing a documentary, books and other material will be distributed free of cost among the general public.
