ISLAMABAD: Petroleum products production witnessed 12.31 percent increase during the nine months (July-March) of the current fiscal year as compared to the corresponding period of the last fiscal year, data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, revealed on Tuesday.
The petroleum products that contributed to positive growth included motor spirits, the output of which grew 18.65 percent during the period under review.
The production of high-speed diesel grew 13.56 percent, diesel by 28.10 percent, while furnace oil production witnessed a growth of 6.55 percent.
Similarly, the production of jute batching oil increased 11.26 percent, solvent naphtha 6 percent, while the production of LPG increased 44.93 percent, the data showed.
The petroleum products that witnessed negative growth in production included jet fuel, an output of which decreased 0.31 percent, kerosene 12.26 percent, while the production of lubricating oil declined 14.91 percent, it said.
