Civil, Military leadership to come together in ‘Economic Security Council’

ISLAMABAD: Federal government of Pakistan has decided to form ‘Economic Security Council’ to deal with economic downturn in the country, a private TV channel reported here on Sunday.

According to reports, the council will constitute of civil and military leadership. The council will be headed by the Prime Minister Imran Khan himself, while the Army Chief and Secretary Finance will serve as council members. Three more members will be added to the council.

The Economic Security Council will oversee economic policies and international agreements.
