Atif Bajwa’s name approved as President Bank of Punjab

The name of Atif Bajwa has been approved for slot of the President of the Bank of Punjab after a meeting of the Punjab cabinet in the provincial capital on Tuesday.

Chaired by Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, the PTI’s government in Punjab held its 23rd meeting to discuss a 19 point agenda, which included the appointment of president of the Bank of Punjab and upgrade of different posts on the recommendations of committee headed by the additional chief secretary.

It has been confirmed to Profit that Atif Bajwa, the former President, CEO & Executive Director at Bank Alfalah, was confirmed as the bank’s new President. Other names in contention included Zafar Masud and Adnan Ghani.

Atif Bajwa is a veteran banker who has remained President & Chief Executive Officer of MCB Bank Ltd., President & Chief Executive Officer at Soneri Bank Ltd., Regional Head-Central & Eastern Europe at Citibank NA (Bangladesh), Manager at RBS Pakistan, Chairman for Pakistan Business Council and President of Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry in addition to his last association, which was with Bank Alfalah.

    Great News having said that I worked with Bank Alfalah Shah Din Manzil Lahore under his leadership and learn from STP program and products of Retail Banking, wealth Management , Investment , trade and finance Etc !Etc was remarkable learning in his Tenure ! having said that I have joined Bank of Punjab As DBM (AVP) in Model town Branch LHR !
