ECC to consider relief package for small businesses on Monday: minister

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar said on Sunday his ministry would table a relief package for small businesses in the meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Monday to seek approval.

In a tweet on his Twitter account, he said, “Millions of small businesses and Industries shall benefit from this package once it is approved by ECC and Cabinet.”

Azhar further said his ministry is also working on a “collateral free financing” for SMEs for second phase of the relief package, adding that phase would also include targeted/prioritised relief measures for sectors most hit by the Covid-19.
