Seven more BoK employees tested positive for virus continuing to perform duties

PESHAWAR: Seven more employees of the Bank of Khyber (BoK), who have been tested positive for the coronavirus, are continuing to perform their duties at the Bank’s headquarters, risking the spread among others.

Sources in the bank said after the confirmation of virus among employees to the bank’s Managing Director, the tests of 28 employees were conducted in which three employees were tested positive.

Later, the samples of 30 more employees were conducted in which the tests of four more employees turned out to be positive.

Despite the fact that the number of Covid-19 patients at the BoK’s headquarters is eight, the bank employees are performing their duties as usual due to which other employees are at risk of contracting the virus.

Over the past week, the management has conducted tests of more than 50 employees in which test results of some employees have not been received yet.

When contacted, the bank’s management was not available for comments.
