‘Construction industry package to help uplift real estate sector’

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi said on Thursday that the government’s recently announced incentive package for the construction industry would also help uplift the real estate sector.

In a meeting with a delegation of Real Estate Consultant Association (RECA), led by Federation of Realtors President Sardar Tahir Mehmood, he said the establishment of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority would help facilitate and strengthen the real estate sector.

The delegation apprised the president about the problems and challenges being faced by the real estate sector, especially in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, and sought government’s support in this regard.

Apart from Sardar Tahir Mehmood, the delegation comprised of Federation of Realtors Punjab VP Ahsan Malik, Executive Member Zulqarnanin Abbasi, RECA Patron-in-Chief Brig (r) Sher Anwar, RECA President (DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi) Farrukh Riaz, Vice-President Maj (r) Ahmed Nadeem Qasim, Islamabad Estate Agents Association General Secretary Zahid Rafiq, IEAA Executive Member Israrul Haq and Pakistan Tax Bar Council VP Syed Tansir Bokhari.
