Facilitation of business community among top govt prioritises: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Monday said that facilitation of the business community is among the top priorities of his government.

The PM said this while talking to a delegation of American Business Council of Pakistan.

“We have given a special package to uplift the country’s construction industry,” the PM stated, adding that the government had also formed a committee to boost Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The delegation lauded government’s policies and measures aimed at facilitating the business community and enhancing the ease of doing business in the country.

The members of the group also briefed the PM on investments made by different companies in the American Business Council. They were of the view that investment opportunities were improving in the country owing to business-friendly policies of the incumbent government.

“Such measures have boosted the confidence of the US companies working in Pakistan and they want to enhance the size of their investments,” the delegation members said.

The delegation also presented a cheque worth Rs17 million to the PM to aid the government in its fight against the coronavirus.
