SCCI chief emphasises adoption of modern businesses methods for growth

PESHAWAR: Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Sherbaz Bilour has asked young entrepreneurs and new business startups to adopt modern techniques and information technology to promote and market their products.

The SCCI president was chairing a meeting of the Young Entrepreneurs Standing Committee (YESC) here at the chamber house on Thursday. The meeting was held to discuss initiatives taken for the development and welfare of young entrepreneurs as well as various projects for startups.

He stressed the need for serious efforts for development information and digitisation, which would help to bring economic stability and do businesses through modern tools and ways.
He also directed the young entrepreneurs to come up with comprehensive and viable business plans to ensure grants or financial assistance from relevant government departments, authorities and international monetary institutions.
During the meeting, participants demanded that a business facilitation centre be set up for young businesspeople for guidelines on how to navigate through the difficulties faced in new businesses.
Terming the youth a prime source of the country’s development, Bilour assured them that the SCCI will extend all kinds of cooperation to support startups and also urged the government to extend financial assistance to young businesspeople and take steps for their capacity building to bring economic prosperity and development in Pakistan.
