Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant rise on Friday, tracking an upward trend in the international market. In local markets, the price per tola of gold reached Rs242,900, marking an increase of Rs1,600 within a single day.
According to data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price for 10 grams of gold stood at Rs208,248 after a rise of Rs1,372.
On the previous day, Thursday, the price per tola had remained steady at Rs241,300 in Pakistan.
Internationally, the price of gold also saw an uptick, reaching $2,363 per ounce with an additional premium of $20, following a $28 increase during the trading day, as reported by APGJSA.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs2,750 per tola.
Earlier in April, gold had reached its peak price of Rs252,200 per tola in the local market, reflecting fluctuations in global precious metal markets.
