Olympia Mills to invest Rs50 million in 1MW off-grid solar power system

Company plans to install an initial 500KW solar system at its factory, with future expansion to 1MW for cost efficiency

Olympia Mills Limited has announced plans to install an off-grid solar power system at its factory premises, aiming to reduce dependency on grid electricity and achieve significant cost savings. The company’s Board of Directors has approved the initiative, which is estimated to cost approximately PKR 50 million.

According to the company, the initial phase will include a 500 KW solar power system, with the potential to expand capacity to 1 MW based on future energy requirements. This move is part of Olympia Mills’ broader commitment to sustainable energy solutions and aligns with its long-term strategy to promote eco-friendly business operations.

The company highlighted that investing in renewable energy is a crucial step towards reducing operational costs while contributing to environmental sustainability.
