PIA signs engineering support agreement with SriLankan Airlines

PIA Engineering & Maintenance to provide technical handling for four weekly Lahore flights, expanding services for foreign carriers and generating foreign exchange.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has signed a technical handling and engineering agreement with SriLankan Airlines, a PIA spokesman said on Sunday.

Under the agreement, PIA Engineering & Maintenance will provide comprehensive engineering support for SriLankan Airlines’ four weekly flights operating to and from Lahore.

The partnership adds to PIA Engineering & Maintenance’s portfolio of services offered to foreign carriers at Pakistani airports, reinforcing its role as a provider of technical handling and maintenance solutions. In addition to international airlines, PIA currently delivers engineering support to several domestic carriers.

The spokesman noted that the agreement reflects the growing international credibility of PIA’s engineering services and their contribution to the airline’s foreign exchange earnings. This collaboration is part of PIA’s continued efforts to expand technical services while supporting operational efficiency and maintenance standards across Pakistani airports.
