WEPL renews top leadership as profit jumps 148pc

Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited (WEPL), formerly Shell Pakistan Limited, on Tuesday announced key leadership reappointments alongside a strong surge in profitability, according to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The company confirmed that its Board of Directors has reappointed Ghassan Al Almoudi as Chairperson for a further three-year term, effective from June 16, 2026.

In the same meeting, the board also approved the reappointment of Zubair Shaikh as Chief Executive Officer for a three-year tenure.

WEPL disclosed the decisions through its formal communication to the PSX, stating that the leadership continuity reflects its ongoing governance and management structure.

Alongside the appointments, the company reported a profit after tax of Rs2.16 billion, marking a 148% increase compared with Rs873 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited is a publicly listed company incorporated in Pakistan and majority-owned by Wafi Energy Holding Limited, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
