Shakarganj announces new chairman, CEO in board reshuffle
Shakarganj Limited announced a board reshuffle after its June 9 meeting, appointing Manzoor Hussain as chairman and Muhammad Pervez Akhtar as CEO for a three-year term.

Shakarganj Limited (SML) has announced changes to its top leadership, appointing a new chairman and chief executive officer following a meeting of its board of directors.
According to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday, the board, in its meeting held on June 9, 2026, appointed Manzoor Hussain as chairman of the company’s board of directors.
The board also named Muhammad Pervez Akhtar as chief executive officer for a three-year term.
Shakarganj Limited, one of Pakistan’s longstanding industrial groups, was incorporated as a public listed company in 1967.
The company operates across multiple sectors, processing renewable agricultural crops such as sugarcane and cotton into a range of value-added products, including refined sugar, textiles, biofuel and building materials.
