SBP directs banks to integrate with PSW price verification portal by July 31

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has directed all authorised dealers in foreign exchange to integrate their systems with the Pakistan Single Window’s Price Verification Portal and achieve operational readiness by July 31, 2026.

The directive was issued through EPD Circular Letter No. 13 dated July 20 to strengthen compliance with price-related due diligence requirements under the SBP’s Framework for Managing Risks of Trade-Based Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.

The Pakistan Single Window (PSW) developed the portal as an additional tool to supplement existing in-house and third-party price verification systems used by authorised dealers.

The SBP said the platform would help strengthen anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism controls linked to trade transactions.

Authorised dealers will remain responsible for conducting due diligence and may use all available tools and information services, including the new portal, to meet their obligations under prevailing AML/CFT laws and regulations.

Banks and other authorised dealers have been instructed to complete the required system development and integrate with the portal in accordance with the Pakistan Single Window API Integration Document shared by the SBP on April 17, 2026.

The central bank warned that failure to comply with the instructions could expose authorised dealers to regulatory action under the relevant provisions of the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1947.
