IESCO recovers Rs 6.84 Billion from over 227,000 defaulters in ongoing recovery drive

CEO Engineer Khalid Mehmood urges timely bill payments to strengthen company finances and support Pakistan’s economic stability

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has collected more than Rs 6.84 billion from over 227,000 running and dead defaulters as part of its ongoing recovery campaign, according to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Engineer Chaudhry Khalid Mehmood.

In a statement issued on Monday, the CEO said IESCO’s recovery teams have delivered outstanding performance across all operational circles, ensuring the collection of overdue payments and the disconnection of electricity supply to several non-paying consumers in line with company policy.

Engineer Khalid Mehmood emphasized that timely payment of electricity bills is essential for the company’s financial stability and for ensuring a sustainable national economy. He added that consumer cooperation plays a key role in supporting both IESCO’s operational efficiency and the government’s broader efforts toward economic stability.

To facilitate easier and more efficient payments, the CEO highlighted that IESCO has launched modern digital platforms, including online payment systems, mobile applications, and other electronic billing options, allowing customers to clear their dues conveniently and on time.

He urged all consumers to pay their bills promptly to avoid disconnection and to help the company maintain its commitment to providing uninterrupted, high-quality electricity services across its network.
