Thatta Cement’s subsidiary to launch Belarus tractor assembly plant in Balochistan

Thatta Cement Company Limited announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Minsk Work Tractor & Assembling (Private) Limited (MWTA), has signed an exclusive agreement with OJSC Minsk Tractor Works of Belarus for the assembly and local production of BELARUS tractors in Balochistan.

According to the disclosure filed with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday, the agreement grants MWTA exclusive rights to assemble BELARUS tractors within the province.

The project aims to promote local industrial development, create employment opportunities, and facilitate technology transfer through the establishment of a tractor assembly facility in Balochistan.

Thatta Cement stated that the agreement represents a significant strategic milestone for its subsidiary and is expected to positively contribute to the company’s long-term growth and diversification strategy.
