No major design change in Pakistani passports: DG Immigration and Passports

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has refuted reports claiming major changes in Pakistani passports, clarifying that only new features are being added while the overall design remains unchanged.

In a statement, the department said the updated passport will now include the mother’s name alongside the father’s and incorporate enhanced security elements.

It added that visa pages in the new passports will feature images of historic landmarks from different provinces to reflect Pakistan’s cultural heritage.
