Ignite Board launches cloud support for startups, AI and SAP training, and cybersecurity hackathon

The Ignite Board, operating under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), has approved a set of flagship technology and innovation initiatives aimed at accelerating Pakistan’s digital transformation and strengthening its skilled workforce.

Among the key programs is the Prime Minister’s Cloud Program for Startups, which will allow emerging entrepreneurs to access global cloud infrastructure through a structured cloud credit support system. The initiative is designed to lower technology barriers, enhance scalability, and enable Pakistani startups to compete in international markets.

The Code4AI Program will provide practical training to 7,500 individuals in Python, JavaScript, and Java, with a focus on developing artificial intelligence applications. Participants will also learn blockchain technologies such as Ethereum, Solidity, and Hyperledger, as well as quantum computing and prompt engineering fundamentals.

The Digital Pakistan Cyber Security Hackathon 2025 will take place in six cities, complemented by training workshops in 16 cities for more than 3,000 participants. A three-day exclusive training program will also be held for government officials. The event will offer Rs6.5 million in cash prizes, Rs12 million in international training vouchers, and Rs27 million in sponsorships for global cybersecurity competitions.

In Balochistan, the National Incubation Center (NIC) Quetta 2.0 will soon become operational to support over 70 entrepreneurs annually through mentorship, training, and investor connections, helping turn local innovations into viable businesses.

Meanwhile, the SAP Training Program will certify 2,500 youth in enterprise software, preparing them for global job markets and positioning Pakistan as a regional hub for SAP-trained professionals.

According to the ministry, these initiatives reflect the government’s ongoing commitment to building a skilled, inclusive, and innovation-led digital economy, empowering Pakistani youth and startups to play a central role in the country’s technology-driven future.
