The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), in collaboration with the Quetta Electric Supply Company Limited (QESCO), held an interactive awareness session for large industrial and commercial electricity consumers at the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the session, SECP’s Executive Director (LRD), Mr. Ali Azeem Ikram, attended virtually and welcomed the participants, emphasizing SECP’s commitment to promoting business formalization and facilitating ease of doing business in Pakistan. The session featured a detailed presentation by the Incharge Business Center, outlining SECP’s regulatory functions, the network of nine Company Registration Offices (CROs) across the country, and the digital process for company incorporation through the eZfile portal. The presentation also covered the steps for user registration, local company incorporation, required documentation, types of business structures, and the benefits of formal incorporation.
The session fostered an interactive dialogue, with participants seeking clarifications on various regulatory and procedural matters. This interaction provided valuable insights and strengthened mutual understanding of the business entry processes.
Participants were also briefed on SECP’s achievements in company registration facilitation, trends in incorporations over the past five years, and initiatives aimed at simplifying processes and enhancing service delivery. The session concluded with a constructive discussion focused on streamlining business formalization procedures.
