EMCO Industries secures ISO independent accreditation for its high voltage and mechanical testing laboratory

Accreditation enhances EMCO’s market position, enabling the company to offer independent third-party testing services to the power sector and other industries

EMCO Industries Limited, a leading manufacturer and supplier of high voltage transmission line insulators and substation equipment, has announced that its High Voltage & Mechanical Testing (HVMT) Laboratory has received ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from the Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC).

The company shared this development through a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday.

“We are pleased to announce that our High Voltage \& Mechanical Testing Laboratory has successfully completed the full assessment conducted by the Pakistan National Accreditation Council. As a result, the HVMT Laboratory is now officially recognized as an **ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited Independent Testing Service Provider,” read the EMCO’s notice.

The accreditation confirms the laboratory’s competence in conducting high voltage and mechanical testing in compliance with international standards. EMCO Industries, which previously revealed the commissioning of its state-of-the-art high voltage laboratory in October 2023, is now officially recognized as an independent testing service provider.

The HVMT laboratory can handle tests up to 1800kV impulse and 600kV power frequency levels, positioning EMCO as a key player in providing specialized testing services for the power sector and other industries.

The move is expected to bolster EMCO’s market reputation and open new business prospects, particularly in offering reliable, third-party testing services to local and international clients. The accreditation further strengthens EMCO’s leadership in the power sector, adding a competitive edge in a growing market.
