NETSOL signs over Rs500 million deal with KP for paperless government project phase II

NETSOL Technologies Ltd. has announced the signing of an agreement with the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) valued at over PKR 500 million, marking the start of the next phase of the province's Paperless Government Project.

The agreement is funded by the World Bank and aims to expand the province’s ongoing efforts to digitise its government operations.

In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday, NETSOL confirmed that the project will build upon the success of Phase I, which previously digitised core processes such as summaries to the chief minister and the cabinet workflow.

The new phase will focus on scaling automation and ensuring secure inter-agency integrations to accelerate decision-making and improve the overall efficiency of government operations.

"This milestone moves digital governance from promise to practice: faster service delivery, fewer manual touchpoints, and clear, auditable decision trails across government," said Salim Ghauri, CEO of NETSOL Technologies, in the statement.

"We are proud to partner with the provincial government to make government processes more transparent, accountable, and efficient," he added.

The initiative is part of NETSOL's continued commitment to enhancing digital governance, and with this new partnership, the company aims to further streamline government functions, reducing dependency on manual processes and enhancing accountability within the provincial administration.

The project’s scale and the involvement of the World Bank reflect both the significance of the initiative and its potential to transform the way government services are delivered in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, paving the way for a more transparent and efficient administrative system.
