Goods recovered from two vehicles include cigarette materials, sheesha flavours, huqqa pots and soaps

Customs Enforcement Peshawar has confiscated smuggled goods valued at Rs27.4 million after intercepting two vehicles entering the province from the Quetta side.

According to a statement, teams at the Customs Interprovincial Joint Check Post stopped the vehicles as part of the Federal Board of Revenue’s zero-tolerance drive against smuggling. A detailed inspection led to the recovery of cigarette acetate tow, cigarette paper, filter-rod trays, sheesha flavours, huqqa pots and Dove soaps.

Both vehicles, along with the seized items, have been taken into custody under customs law. The FBR said it remains committed to protecting economic interests by intensifying enforcement actions against smuggling.
